Pentimenti Gallery is pleased to announce Vector Forms an exhibition of new works by Tim Eads. The show will be on display from November 7 through December 15, with an artist reception on Friday, November 7, from 6:30 – 8:30 PM.
For Vector Forms, Eads will be presenting his most recent sculptural works as well as an installation. Similar to past work, the new sculptures are colorful and lightweight, showcasing Eads’ playful approach while also demonstrating a strong sense of composition and material control. The sculptures are constructed with either acrylic, fiberglass, or steel, with ink added selectively.
Tim Eads has exhibited across the United States with notable shows at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Art; Museum of New Art in Detroit; and Sam Houston State University in Texas. Eads is the recipient of numerous awards and honors including the Weston A. Price Foundation Grant; Recycled Artist-in-Residency (RAIR) in Philadelphia and the Please Touch Museum Residency, also in Philadelphia. He is found in several public collections: the West Collection, Oaks, PA; Kirkland Museum of Decorative Arts, Denver, CO and the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia, PA. Eads’ received his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2009, and is BFA from Texas Tech University in 2000.
